Q: Can EVOH/PE packaging bags really extend product shelf life?
Yes. The key to shelf life is oxygen control. The oxygen barrier properties of the EVOH layer are 10,000 times that of ordinary PE. With extremely low oxygen permeability (OTR), it significantly slows down oil oxidation and bacterial growth. In practical applications, it can typically extend the product's shelf life from 3 months to 6-12 months (depending on the specific contents).
Q: Is EVOH material sensitive to humidity? How do you address this?
EVOH is indeed hydrophilic, and its barrier properties decrease under high humidity. However, our packaging bags use multi-layer co-extrusion technology, sandwiching the EVOH between two layers of highly hydrophobic PE (polyethylene). This "sandwich" structure effectively isolates moisture from the outside, ensuring that the EVOH core layer provides stable barrier properties in any climate.
Q: Can this packaging bag be recycled into plastics?
Yes. According to international standards, as long as EVOH accounts for less than 5% of the total weight of the multi-layer packaging, the material is still considered a recyclable single-material PE. We offer customized mono-material EVOH/PE solutions that align with global plastic reduction trends, helping brands achieve their green packaging goals.
